Season 7 Episode 17 of Pretty Little Liars was full of huge moments. Mary Drake returned, one of the Liars got engaged (💕), and Mona joined the Liars to help them win A.D.'s game. However, by the end of the episode we were left feeling seriously suspicious of her. Is she actually the game's creator? Check out the recap below, then vote for the person you think is A.D. using the PLL Suspect Tracker, brought to you by SIMPLE Mobile. And don't worry if you've voted before, you can change your vote in the tracker at any time.
A.D. continued to threaten Aria with the information in that file.
Turns out that it contains a police report that Aria had once filled out when she was mad at Ezra, about the relationship they had while she was in high school. A.D. told Aria to deliver a "gift" to Spencer and her family or else they would use the report to put Ezra in prison.
He's definitely on to them. Urgh, stop being so good at your job, Marco.
We're pretty sure all of the Liars could do with a break at this point. And it does seem pretty inconvenient for Ali to leave while so much is going on. Is she up to something? So far she has 2% of the votes on the PLL Suspect Tracker, does she get your vote?
And Spencer found the baby blanket she was brought home in.
Which was thrown in "the dumpster pile" 😢 -- poor Spence, that was so not okay.
Hanna was freaking out about the game and the new evidence Marco dug up.
Are the others starting to get suspicious of Aria? She is a good liar but surely she can't keep hiding her involvement with A.D. for much longer?
Then Mona turned up to help them play the game.
The other Liars weren't happy about it at first, but Hanna and Mona were able to convince them that they needed her. It wouldn't be the first time she's come to their rescue after all.
And she revealed that she suspects either Jenna or Mary Drake to be A.D.
Do you agree with her? So far Jenna and Mary are both only at 1% in the PLL Suspect Tracker. Maybe Mona knows more about them than she's letting on?
Ashley was back in Rosewood and wanted answers.
She had been questioned by the Rosewood police about the flood. She revealed that Detective Furey thinks it could have been done to protect Hanna and the others, making Caleb his main suspect.
Aria visited the Hastings' house and planted a burner phone, which she had hooked up to their speaker system.
After she left, it played a recording of a conversation between Peter and Mary Drake throughout the whole house. The recording suggested that Mary had tried to frame Peter for Jessica's death because he had been plotting to help Jessica kill Mary.
Mona tracked down the doctor who carried out the procedure on Ali to implant Emily's eggs.
Mona and Emily confronted him about who paid him to do it and the identity of the baby’s father. When he sent them away without any answers, Mona stole a piece of his mail with his address on it so they could do some more digging on him. Hanna's right, Mona really is brilliant.
Hanna was worried about other evidence they might have left behind, so she went back to the woods where they buried Archer.
She was looking for the spades they'd used, but a park ranger turned up and told her they had been confiscated to have tests run on them. Is this the new evidence Marco has?
Ezra was concerned that Aria was acting strangely because she was having doubts about the wedding.
They were able to work things out again, but we're starting to get really worried that the Ezria wedding might not happen 💔.
Mary took Spencer by surprise and made her drive them to the Lost Woods Resort.
We weren't the only ones who jumped at this part, right?
When they arrived Mary gave Spencer her side of the story.
She told her she wasn't the one that planted the burner phone in the Hastings' house, but she wasn't sorry Spencer had heard it. She confirmed that she had killed her sister because Jessica was planning to use Peter's medication (which he supplied) to kill her.
Then she asked Spencer to run away with her.
Sure, it would give Spencer a way to escape the police investigation, but can she really trust Mary? We're still not sure...
Caleb gave the best answer to Ashley when she questioned why he was back in Hanna's life.
This moment deserves a ❤️ x 1000!
Aria had a totally surreal dream about Ezra being in jail.
Oh, and did we mention it was a musical and Mona was singing? That part of it was pretty great actually.
When she woke up, A.D. finally told her she could have her reward.
But she'd have to find it in The Brew first -- A.D. never makes anything that easy.
Emily and Mona went back to face the doctor, but this time they were armed with evidence.
They found a statement in his mail which showed he'd somehow been able to pay off his medical school loan overnight. He revealed he didn't have the name of the person who paid for the procedure or the father, and that all he could give them was the donor's ID number. Who would have the kind of money needed to pay for that? Lucas? After Season 7 Episode 16 we thought he might be innocent, but it could have been a cover up. What do you think? He's currently at 16% in the PLL Suspect Tracker.
Spencer confronted her father about what he planned to do to Mary.
He said that he did what he had to do to protect his family and would do it again. We're starting to think Peter Hastings has more secrets than his daughter...
Aria eventually found her jigsaw piece in The Brew but was spotted by Mona.
Mona is definitely smart enough to put the pieces of that puzzle together. Aria's secret may not be hidden for much longer.
Hanna and Caleb made their engagement official.
This was all our Haleb dreams come true 😍
Spencer shared a touching goodbye with Mary.
Although she couldn't go with her, it was enough for Spencer to know Mary didn't have anything to do with planting the burner phone in their house and she understood why she did what she did. No, we're not crying...
Aria finally got the police report back after connecting her jigsaw piece to the game.
But is her turn really over? Aria has been a useful weapon for A.D., they may not be willing to let her go just yet.
At the end of the episode, we discovered what looked like Mona's new lair.
Uh oh, Mona's got her A face on.
And that she has the spades -- not Furey.
What is going on?! Is she still trying to help the Liars or has she gone back to manipulating them all? Mona is currently at only 1% in the PLL Suspect Tracker, so it looks like the #PLLSquad still has faith in Mona's good side.
Do you think Mona is still on the Liars' side or is she up to no good? Tell us in the comments below.
