Season 7 Episode 16 of Pretty Little Liars has got to be one of the most intense episodes so far. Aria trashed Emison's baby's room, Marco has started to really build his case around the Liars, and Lucas was looking like a proper A.D. contender. Did you believe his story at the end of the episode? Check out the recap below and then vote for the character you think is A.D. using the PLL Suspect Tracker, brought to you by SIMPLE Mobile.
Even though Spencer got seriously grilled by the cops, she still refused to tell them anything about Archer.
Marco then told her that if they found her signature on Archer's credit card slip, they would be able to get a warrant for her arrest. That Marco can be really scary when he wants to be. *gulp*
Emily surprised Alison by decorating a room for their baby.
Anyone else tear up at this point? They are going to be the BEST moms.
Spencer told the Liars about the trouble she was in with the cops, and a few of them had a difficult time holding back how they really felt...
But after everyone calmed down, they decided to enlist the help of tech genius Caleb. He said he could turn off the surveillance cameras at The Radley to give Hanna time to find and steal the slip.
Hanna thought it was her turn (again), but A.D. had other plans.
We're still not sure who would want to separate Aria from the group...Ezra? He's currently got 3% of the votes on the PLL Suspect Tracker, which isn't a lot, but we've been surprised before.
Ezra told Aria that Jillian wanted him to do the press tour for their book by himself.
Ezra didn't want to do the tour without Aria, but she eventually talked him into it. She told him that when she wrote the book she was giving a voice to a ghost, but now that Nicole was back, Aria didn't want to answer for her. Instead, she said she would be sitting in the front row, cheering Ezra on.
After picking up the hard drive that A.D. told Hanna to collect, she and Caleb discovered that it contained a Patsy Cline song.
Hanna remembered that Patsy Cline was played in The Dollhouse so this probably means that A.D. is definitely someone who was connected to Charlotte. Lucas? He's currently at 17% on the PLL Suspect Tracker so it looks like a lot of the fandom think it might be him.
Spencer went to Marco's apartment and begged him to help her.
And after a pause that went on for an eternity, Marco handed Spencer a tissue and said that he couldn't help her. Why Marco, why?!
But the trip to Marco's was not totally wasted as Spencer found and stole a flash drive with Lucas' name on it.
The flash drive contained a video file that proved Lucas didn't actually provide the Liars with an alibi for the night of Charlotte's death. Everyone thought this meant that Lucas was definitely A.D., apart from Hanna who just thought he got scared. What do you think?
Mona dropped by Hanna's to say that she was ready to play the game, but Hanna told her that the others couldn't know she was involved.
"How many times do I have to save all of you before I'm finally part of the group?" Could it be that Mona wants to punish the Liars for how they have continued to make her feel like an outcast? It doesn't look like the #PLLArmy thinks so -- Mona is currently only at 1% on the PLL Suspect Tracker.
The Liars decided to lay a trap for Lucas.
While Hanna dropped off the hard drive at the school for A.D., Emily and Alison kept watch to see if they could catch Lucas, in the black hoodie, picking it up.
Instead of helping the Liars trap Lucas or going to Ezra's press tour (like she said she would), Aria trashed Emison's baby's room on A.D.'s orders!
This was absolutely heartbreaking to watch. Why would A.D. make Aria do such a thing? Is it to eventually drive the group apart? Or could A.D. be someone who doesn't want to see Emison playing the happy family, like Paige? She's currently at 8% on the PLL Suspect Tracker...
Meanwhile, Emily and Alison thought they saw A.D. so they tried to run after them, but Alison got knocked down.
We later found out that it was just Mona trying to help them. Urgh, will they ever catch a glimpse of A.D.'s face?
Emily and Alison arrived back home while Aria was still in their house.
Aria managed to get away, but Emily was so close to catching her. We never want to watch something like that again -- our hearts were so conflicted.
The Liars were heartbroken to find out what had happened to Emison's baby's room.
And they were more sure than ever that Lucas was A.D. despite Spencer finding Aria's earring on the floor -- yikes!
At The Radley, Hanna couldn't find the credit card slip and they were running out of time, so Caleb decided to flood the store room!
They probably should have just done that in the first place...
Hanna spotted Lucas going into The Radley on camera so she told the others and they decided to confront him.
It was REALLY starting to look like he was A.D...
Lucas told the Liars that he had no idea that Charles and Charlotte were the same person.
When he did find out that they were the same person, he decided to keep quiet about it because he thought the emails he sent in high school about "Mean Queen Alison" were the reason the Liars had been tortured.
He then told the Liars that he had gone to The Radley because of a note that was sent to him along with the graphic novel.
Apparently there was a second book and Lucas went to The Radley hoping to get it, but he was too late. He also told the Liars that the second book was never finished, which means there's no way of knowing how the game ends...
Later, Hanna told Lucas that she believed he wasn't a part of what was happening to them and that she never thought he was.
She also asked him why the factory was for sale and Lucas reluctantly told her that he had had trouble getting people to take a chance on her talent. There had never been any investors and despite losing all of his money, Lucas told Hanna that she was totally worth it. Do you believe his story? Or are you still suspicious that he might be A.D.?
Marco told Spencer that Archer's credit card slip had been destroyed in a flood.
He is totally onto the Liars and we're terrified of what he's going to find out next.
And in less dark news, Alison finally admitted her true feelings to Emily!
Alison said that she didn't know why she always pushed Emily away, but that she's now ready to stop. That's it, people! Emison are going to be a family and they are totally end game.
