Emily, Aria, and Spencer bury Elliott’s body while arguing about whether avoiding the cops is the best thing to do. Hanna is still in the car, in shock, but eventually joins them and helps out, too. They continue to argue about going to the cops, but Spencer tells them that it is too late and that their top priority should be getting Alison back to Welby. Alison is sitting apart from the group at this point, but upon hearing this she comes over to them, reaches into the earth and pulls out Elliott’s key card, telling them that they will need this to get her back into the hospital. On their way back, they hatch a plan to use Elliott’s phone to leave a fake trail for the cops. The girls are all debating about whether they have thought of everything when Hanna freaks out, realizing that she could go to jail. Meanwhile, Toby is at the station looking into Elliott’s file. He receives a text from Yvonne asking when he'll be home, but he simply replies that it's going to be a long night.
Tears and fallouts!
Back at Spencer’s house, Hanna cleans herself up while Spencer gets rid of the mud stains on the floor. Caleb shows up and tries to open the door, but Spencer keeps the latch on. While Caleb and Spencer talk on either side of the door, Hanna quietly listens. Caleb tells Spencer that his kiss with Hanna was only a moment of confusion. He then tells her about the night when he began to realize he had feelings for Spencer and that he turned a job down in San Francisco so he could be with her. Upset, Spencer tells Caleb that she does want to talk, but that she just needs more time. Caleb finally leaves as both Spencer and Hanna cry. It is utterly heartbreaking.
Settling back in at Welby!
Aria, meanwhile, tries to get Alison back into her room at Welby. She goes to check that the coast is clear, but when she returns for Alison, she finds out that she is gone! Later on, she finds Alison in the stairwell as she is too scared to return to her room. Aria promises that the Liars will come back for her. Back in her room, Alison says that she can’t believe Elliott thought she would have killed Charlotte and so Aria asks her why they saw her outside the church the night Charlotte was killed. Alison tells her that she told Charlotte about her and Elliott that night. After hearing the news, Charlotte stormed off to the church. Alison followed her there, but then left after Charlotte begged her to leave her alone. After hearing the story, Aria straps Alison to the bed, and replaces the gruesome face mask, so everyone will know how Elliott really treated his wife.
Spencer and Emily are at The Radley. Spencer is drinking while Emily works behind the bar. They discuss the plan for later that night – Emily will go to Elliott’s house and make it look as though he left in a hurry. Spencer will then use his credit card to buy a train ticket before leaving his coat and cell phone on the train. After Emily leaves, a man at the bar buys Spencer a drink and introduces himself as Marco. They get talking and after a few more drinks, end up kissing passionately in the elevator, but Spencer breaks away from him before anything else can happen. Just as Emily gets back from Elliott’s place, she gets a call from Spencer telling her that she is too drunk to carry out her part of the plan.
A lost car!
Aria and Hanna go back to the woods to destroy the car they'd been driving when they struck Elliott, but when they get to the spot where they left it, they discover that it’s gone! They wonder if they have just forgotten where they left it when they see tire tracks and realize that someone else must have taken it! Just when they’re about to ditch the whole plan, Mona arrives in the car, which she has had fixed and cleaned up! Later on that night, Mona tells them that she started paying attention again when Hanna was targeted and then became suspicious of Elliott when Alison was admitted to Welby. The Liars were right to worry about missing something. Mona tells them that Elliott has a burner cell phone, which they still need to find.
An awkward brunch!
The next day, the Liars have brunch at The Radley so they will have a cover story. Spencer looks pretty green as they sip their Mimosas. They discuss Elliott’s burner phone and who he could have been working with. Mona tells them that she should be able to ping his phone in order to see where he last used it when Jenna then arrives on the scene! Jenna tells the Liars that she is back for Toby’s engagement, but when she leaves, the Liars wonder if she is telling the truth. Spencer and Hanna then break away from the rest of the group. Hanna wants to know if Spencer is going to be angry with her forever, but Spencer says she will just need a little more time. Hanna then says that she should go and speak to Caleb, but when Spencer arrives home, she discovers that Caleb has packed up his things and left.
Is Toby onto the Liars?
Emily and Aria go to Welby to see if they can visit Alison, but when they arrive, the cops are already there searching Elliott’s office! Toby spots them and asks them to get the rest of the Liars because he needs to talk to them. Back at Spencer’s house, Toby tells them that Elliott Rollins is dead. Just as the Liars are starting to freak out that they've been caught, Toby explains that he died when he was 72 from a stroke and that the Dr. Rollins they know is an identity thief! Toby then tells them that the cops think Elliott is missing because he knew they were onto him.
Hanna and Mona are a dream team!
Hanna and Mona, meanwhile, are trying to ping Elliott’s phone, but are unsuccessful. Hanna tries to stay strong but breaks down about whether Rollins' death was truly an accident, or not. Mona then spots Hanna's fake engagement ring and Hanna tells her the truth about her breakup with Jordan. Mona asks how long Hanna can keep lying to the others, but she never gets an answer as Hanna realizes that the bracelet she was wearing the night before is missing. The two ladies go to look for it, thinking that it must have been left in Elliott’s car. Breaking into the car, they manage to find the bracelet and then just as they’re about to leave, they hear a phone ringing. Following the sound, they find the phone and answer it, discovering that it is Jenna on the other line, asking if "Archer" can hear her!
