It's always good when our movie heroes save the day, but it's so much better when our movie heroes save Christmas Day. Check out this countdown of our favorite moments, brought to you by Coca-Cola -- the hero of the dinner table.
10. When Pyke steals a Ferrari and rushes to save Barker.
Angry Angel may be a new Christmas movie, but it's fast becoming one of our favorites!
9. When Brad realizes he loves Kate too much to leave her.
We love this couple from Four Christmases. After having separated over Christmas, Brad saves the day by visiting Kate and telling her how much she means to him. Absolute hero.
8. When Sloane sees the error of her ways and decides to fix her life.
We love the journey Sloane goes through in Christmas Cupid. It's so empowering that she becomes her own story's hero, realizing how her actions affect the other people in her life and changing her ways.
7. When Luther gives his dream holiday to the Scheels.
We can all agree that the Scheels in Christmas with the Kranks are having a miserable Christmas, which is why Luther completely wins us over by sending them on a dream vacation. It means so much.
6. When Nick convinces Holly to stay in the Mistle-Tones.
The Mistle-Tones already deserves hero status as a movie for reminding us how amazing Christmas music is. But the moment when Nick convinces Holly not to leave the group is just perfection.
5. When Lucy thaws Jack Frost's heart.
We think that every Christmas hero should operate mainly through hugs. It works perfectly in The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.
4. When Clark takes the blame for kidnapping his boss.
At this point in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Clark has tried desperately to create the dream Christmas but has failed in almost every way. Maybe that's why it's such a hero move when he steps back and takes responsibility for Eddie's behavior? Not all heroes wear capes, you guys.
3. When Scott says goodbye to Charlie.
Admittedly, when Scott first knocks the OG Santa off the roof inThe Santa Clause, he doesn't seem like much of a hero, but boy were we wrong. Watching him become the best dad (and Santa) is all the Christmas heroism we need to warm our hearts.
2. When Jovie spreads Christmas cheer to help Buddy and Santa's sleigh.
Santa's sleigh is grounded in New York City and in desperate need of Christmas cheer to take-off. That's a situation just begging for a Christmas hero! We'll admit it, when Jovie starts singing loud and clear in Elf, we may or may not have whooped out loud at the TV.
1. When the Grinch saves Cindy Lou by lifting the sleigh.
The Grinch is a pretty unlikely Christmas hero, but this moment in Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas, where he finds the strength to lift the sleigh guarantees him a place in the Christmas hero hall of fame.
