Happy Women's Equality day, everyone! To celebrate this wonderful day in history, we've put together a list of some of the most badass female characters on Freeform. Are you ready to check it out? These women are guaranteed to inspire.
Why she's inspiring: Lena is fiercely protective of the ones she loves, and while she may be soft-spoken, she is not afraid to speak up for what she believes in. Always completely true to herself, she is a role model to us all.
Why she's inspiring: Clary's whole life changed on her eighteenth birthday, but since then she has totally come into her own and turned into a kickass Shadowhunter. She's headstrong, not afraid to listen to her gut, and creative. All some of the many reasons we love her.
Why she's inspiring: How many times have we seen Kirsten linger in a stitch a little too long just so she can find out as much information about the deceased as possible? Basically every stitch. Kirsten's also a pro at adapting to any situation, be it becoming a part of the stitchers' program, or suddenly being able to feel emotions for the first time since childhood.
Why she's inspiring: Where do we start with Kat? She always fights for what she believes in, she'll do anything for the people she loves, and she is amazing at her job. Kat, we love you. We also want to be you.
Why she's inspiring: Stef has got to be one of the toughest female characters on Freeform. She juggles being a wife, a mom and a badass police officer. She's the first person to call in a crisis, and will always have your back. The woman is a super hero.
Why she's inspiring: She is an incredible mentor. She is tough with her staff, but you can tell just how much she cares about them. She knows how to get the best out of people and we all wish we had a boss like her. She's proof you don't have to be a jerk to be powerful.
Why she's inspiring: There is no Shadowhunter as loyal, fierce, or as stylish as Isabelle Lightwood. She kicks ass and she does it in heels. Enough said.
Why she's inspiring: Badass, thy name is Camille. She's one of the best computer scientists out there, she throws a mean punch, and her way with words is second to none.
Why she's inspiring: This girl is not afraid to tell the truth, and in doing so, she writes the articles that everyone wants to read -- articles about never having an orgasm, breast cancer, politics, and butt facials.
Why she's inspiring: This girl never gives up fighting for what she believes in, and she always puts others before herself -- so much so that it can sometimes get her into trouble. We've lost count of the amount of times she has stood up for other people. When Callie sees injustice, she does something about it.
Why she's inspiring: This girl had a dream and she went for it. If that's not inspiring, we don't know what is. She also isn't afraid to step up to the plate. When Cassie couldn't handle the pressure of the fall fashion shoot and ran away, Sutton took control and owned it.
Why she's inspiring: We have completely fallen in love with this girl. Is there a braver Werewolf than Maia? She's tough, she's sarcastic, she's funny, and she's stolen our hearts.
Why she's inspiring: She is the head of the Stitchers program and she's amazing at leading the team. She could teach anyone how to be a boss. She's also a former CIA agent and definitely not someone to be messed with.
Adena, The Bold Type
Why she's inspiring: She's a proud Muslim lesbian, and an incredibly talented artist. By being completely true to herself, she has got to be one of the most inspiring characters out there.
Why she's inspiring: Because "Bitches get things done." Need we say any more?
