From Golden Globe-nominated director and writer Will Gluck, the movie is set in New York City, and follows a young woman turned angel, Allison Pyke, who is stuck on Earth and can’t seem to ring the right bells in order to pass through those pearly gates into heaven. When the love of her life, Patrick, shows up in New York City, it complicates Pyke’s journey, as well as frustrates her angel mentor. The not-so-merry situation also turns into an unexpected love-triangle with her friend with sometimes benefits, Barker.
The official Angry Angel cast line-up:
Brenda Song (Pure Genius), is starring as Allison Pyke, the would-be angel. Jason Biggs (Orange Is The New Black), will be playing Allison's angelic mentor. Ricky Mabe (Preacher), is starring as the love of Allison's life, Patrick. Andy Favreau (Aquarius), plays the role of Allison's on-again off-again friend with benefits, Barker. And social media star, Andrew Bachelor (Meet the Blacks) will also be in the film.
Angry Angel is set to premiere during November 2017.
The film will be a part of Freeform’s annual “Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas,” which begins on Saturday, November 18.
