Dinner With Dad was written by Jason Alexander and his real-life son Gabe Greenspan who both star as heightened and hilarious versions of themselves.
The show takes place in a deli where Gabe and Jason meet regularly for dinner once a week. But what is regular life like when your Dad happens to be THE Jason Alexander from the SUPER famous sitcom Seinfeld? You can find out by catching the whole series right here on Freeform and the app from March 10.
Meet Jason Alexander.
At their weekly Father-Son dinners Jason gives Gabe a series of bizarre and unwanted insights into the world of show business in a misguided attempt to manage his son's acting career. All the while Jason struggles to prove to the world that he isn't trapped underneath the role of George Costanza, his character from the wildly popular 90s sitcom Seinfeld. Although it turns out that he's a lot more like his on-screen alter ego than he'd like to admit.
Meet Gabe Greenspan.
Gabe is the long-suffering son of Jason Alexander. He is also making his own way in show business while trying to escape from the long shadow of his famous Dad. In every episode Gabe finds himself struggling to stomach Jason's unnecessary probing into both his private and his professional life, which usually builds to Gabe exploding in a seriously embarrassing (and hilarious) public outburst.
This Father-Son team make for an absolutely hilarious duo.
Dinner With Dad gives us a hilarious look at what it's like to be a family in show business, and the struggles that come with having a super famous Dad.
