Gloria Reuben is an actress, singer and social activist.
Many will remember Rueben as the HIV+ health care professional Jeanie Boulet on the hit NBC series “ER,” a role that garnered her two Emmy® nominations and a Golden Globe® nomination. Since then, she has had multiple regular starring roles in a variety of television series, including the two-time Golden Globe-winning “Mr. Robot” and the third season of TNT’s “Falling Skies.”
She starred as Elizabeth Keckley in Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln” and co-starred alongside Samuel L. Jackson in “Reasonable Doubt.” Her additional film credits include “Admission,” “Timecop,” “Nick of Time” and “Shaft.”
Rueben is also a committed social activist. Her priority is raising awareness of the global climate crisis. She actively participates with many organizations including The Climate Reality Project (former Vice President Al Gore’s organization), The National Wildlife Federation, Waterkeeper Alliance and the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights
