Aria's secret is out!
In season 7 episode 18 of Pretty Little Liars, her friends learned that she was working for A.D. and now they have turned their backs on her. Would you do the same? Or do you understand why she felt she had to join the A.D. team? Review Aria's actions with our recap below, then tell us if you'd forgive her by taking the poll at the end.
When Aria first started communicating with A.D. we were seriously concerned.
But we didn't believe she would actually join their team. No way would she betray her friends after everything they had been through.
Still, she made sure A.D. knew where her real loyalties lie.
We had faith in our girl.
But when A.D. continued to threaten her, she gave in.
We were disappointed, but A.D. was relentless. We can understand how pressured Aria must have felt.
The moment she destroyed Emison's nursery had us completely torn apart.
Aria said she wouldn't hurt her friends, but seeing the nursery like that emotionally destroyed Emily.
And Aria had an emotional breakdown afterwards.
It was so hard to watch. She knew what she did was wrong, but she felt like she had no choice.
Then we found out exactly what was in the file.
That report could have put Ezra in jail. A.D. put Aria in a really difficult position. It was a choice between her best friends and the love of her life. What would you have done?
So she reluctantly continued to carry out A.D.'s orders.
We really wish she had just told Spencer what was going on, but she was obviously worried about the consequences. Remember, A.D. sent Archer's finger to Marco when Hanna didn't complete her turn.
And she continued being tormented by her guilt.
That crazy dream she had about Ezra being in jail and apologizing to Mrs. Hastings showed just how torn she was feeling.
When Mona saw her get her puzzle piece, we knew there'd be trouble.
It wouldn't be long before Mona told the others...
And it was clear A.D. wasn't going to let Aria off that easily.
When the police took her phone in S7E18, A.D. supplied her with another so they could continue to keep tabs on her. Then Aria demanded to meet them...such a bad idea.
When the Liars finally discovered she was on the A.D. team it was bad. Really bad.
They didn't understand how she could choose Ezra over them, and in all honesty we couldn't blame them. She had done some truly awful things to her best friends. They had every right to be angry.
However, the Liars realized later that A.D. got exactly what they wanted -- to split them up.
And it seemed like they might make amends. Until A.D. gave Aria an alibi for the night of Dunhill's death, once again separating her from her friends.
So Aria decided to take a stand against A.D.
She was going to turn herself in for Dunhill's murder. But A.D. didn't like that.
And they punished her for it.
Aria's all on her own now, how is she going to get out of this?
And judging by this bonus scene from season 7 episode 19, things are only going to get worse for all the Liars.
They need each other now more than ever, they can't let A.D. win by splitting them up.
Decision time. Would you forgive Aria?
